Your handmade London Tan Oak Bark bridle leather belt will be made just for you.
The Oak Bark Leather Belt is a substantial traditional belt made from heavy hide about 4.5-5mm thick, the type used by harness and bridle makers. This tough yet supple hide is made in the old way and has a strong smell of leather.
Made to measure and built to last - the size you choose is not your trouser waist size, please see images for sizing guide.
This belt is available in 1.25" and 1.5" widths as standard, if you require a different width please contact us.
You have a choice of 3 British made "West End" style buckles, solid brass, nickel and brass with a stainless steel pin.
You can also choose the shape of the belt tip, a traditional English point, rounded or military style giving you more control over the design of your custom belt.
Each belt is made to measure for you and will come with 5 holes as standard. You can also choose to have 7 holes, along with changing the spacing between the holes from the standard 1" to the more custom 3/4".
Oak Bark leather from J.& F.J. Baker & Co of Colyton, Devon takes at least 12 months to make and the traditional methods produce a truly wonderful natural leather.
I would describe the finish as less refined in appearance, a more casual look, and developes a unique patina in time. Oak Bark leather smells wonderful and looks even better.
J.& F.J. Baker & Co are the last Oak Bark tanners in the UK and produce small quantities of very beautiful, traditional and characterful leather
